Powers of the Effluvium

The Effluvium can be channeled for practical use in many ways, which have not all been explored. But each use has a cost in Effluvium, consuming some of it, and often a cost for the caster’s life force as well.

Foresight

Effect: The caster will have visions, they are stronger and more controllable if the seer spends more energy.

Psychic Projection

Effect: The caster can project images or dialogue in other people’s minds. Easier the more the target has Effluvium himself.
Requirement: Caster’s life force ◆◆◇◇◇| Effluvium ◆◆◇◇◇ (adjust per distance/clarity of projection)

Echo Sensing

Effect: The caster can locate and read echoes of Effluvium (either usage or presence). Maximum distance is around a kilometre. Effluvium cannot be sensed if it is contained within a two-metal container.

Mind Reading

Effect: The caster can read the mind of his target.

Healing

Effect: Heals the subject from physical wounds or Corrosion.
Requirement: Caster’s life force ◆◆◇◇◇| Effluvium ◆◆◇◇◇ (adjust per gravity of wound)

Telekinesis

Effect: Ability to manipulate matter in various ways (push, tear apart).
Requirement: Need a strong amount of Effluvium to execute (generally a Core of power, or bathing in concentrated Effluvium).
Cost: Caster’s life force ◆◆◆◇◇| Effluvium ◆◆◇◇◇ (adjust per intensity)

Flight

Effect: Ability to fly by folding space around the caster’s body. The flight speed can be up to 130Km/h or slightly above.
Requirement: Need a strong amount of energy. A caster will need almost a Core.
Cost: Caster’s life force ◆◆◆◇◇| Effluvium ◆◆◆◇◇ (adjust per speed)

Power Boost

Effect: Gives the caster more energy for a limited time.
Requirement: The caster needs to already have power (ideally a Core). Small amounts of refined Corrosion need to be placed on the caster central nervous system (in the spine), usually through the neck.
Cost: Caster’s life force ◆◆◇◇◇| Effluvium gain ◆◆◇◇◇ (adjust per amount of refined Corrosion)

Portal Creation

Effect: Creates a shimmering portal of limited lifespan that the caster and others can cross to the desired location in the same world or between the two planes.
Requirement: The caster needs a lot of power, ideally a Core.
Cost: Caster’s life force ◆◆◆◇◇| Effluvium ◆◆◆◇◇(same plane)/◆◆◆◆◆(interplanar)

Instil Life

Effect: Bring life to an inanimate object. A dead creature cannot be brought back to life this way.
Requirement: The caster needs a tremendous amount of power, a Core would not suffice or would be consumed entirely.
Cost: Caster’s life force ◆◆◆◆◇| Effluvium ◆◆◆◆◆
Side effects: The object brought to life is powered by the Effluvium used to bring it to life. It does not eat and cannot reproduce. It will die when the Effluvium powering it dies out.
